Dwayne Johnson may be a Johnny-come-lately to several other franchises, but when it comes to striking out on his own, he sticks to his literal strengths. In addition to Michael Bay’s about-to-shoot bodybuilder movie Pain and Gain, Variety reports that The Rock has entered talks with Brett Ratner to star in Hercules, where he’d play the ultra-buff son of Zeus. (Johnson was also in the mix last year to play another mythical muscleman in a big-screen version of the “David and Goliath†tale, which would have starred Taylor Lautner.) Jesse Eisenberg must be so crushed to have lost this one!
