Adam McKay continues to deliver tiny morsels of info on the upcoming Anchorman sequel. They aren’t too far along, with McKay saying that they’ve got “about two per cent! Half a per cent? We’ve got five pages of story notes and chunks of story.†But they do have some of the basics nailed down: the movie will take place in either 1978 or 1979, when “all of a sudden, local news stations diversified and had Latino anchors and African-American anchors, and any time you’re talking about diversity and the Action News team, that’s always fun to deal with.†I agree!
McKay also mentions that they’ve got a couple of ideas bouncing around for another epic brawl, which is something that’s as important to bring back as Ron Burgandy’s moustache. Keep up the good work, fellows.
