In the credits of The Avengers, our superheroes are filmed sitting around, chowing down on a meal of shawarma. Earlier in the movie, Tony Stark says, “You ever try Shawarma? There’s a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don’t what it is, but I want to try it.” Jon Defreest heard that these random references were causing a spike in shawarma sales in the greater Los Angeles area, and he decided to let Tony Stark & Co. capitalize on the superhero-shawarma connection with this ad for Stark’s Shawarma Shack.
