After announcing its pilot pickups today, The CW got to work renewing shows already on the air: namely, Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie, and Nikita. Confirming months of industry speculation, Vulture had learned that Gossip Girl will return for its final, sixth season at a somewhat reduced 11-episode order. Meanwhile, current Gossip boss Josh Safran will be heading to NBC’s Smash next season, while Sarah Goodman has been promote to executive producer alongside Stephanie Savage to steer the show’s sign-off.
