Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production company Gary Sanchez just sold a new single-camera comedy to NBC, written by Funny or Die’s Lauryn Kahn. The show, entitled I Guess I Do, follows a green card marriage between a British womanizer and a grad student who’s writing a thesis about her sham husband. Writer Lauryn Kahn used to be Adam McKay’s assistant before selling her movie script He’s F***ing Perfect to Gary Sanchez for a million dollars and landing a gig as a staff writer/director for McKay and Ferrell’s Funny or Die. At the rate she’s going, it’s only a matter of time before Kahn becomes the new CEO of Gary Sanchez/Funny or Die and McKay and Ferrell are her assistants.
