This is the second trailer for Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful and there’s tons of new footage: James Franco going full Scrooge McDuck on a mountain of coins; the lollipop guild doing that old bit where little people sit on each other’s shoulders and wear a big coat to pretend to be giant; Zach Braff voicing an expectedly emo monkey. Also, the plot is more apparent. It appears, Franco plays a magician who doesn’t “want to die†because he hasn’t “accomplished anything yet.†Luckily, he finds himself in Oz, where he’ll be able to accomplish defeating the wicked witch. But who is the wicked witch? Is it Mila Kunis, wearing a red hat? Or Rachel Weisz, wearing a green dress? It’s probably not Michelle Williams, who is wearing all white and talking like a magical toddler. Either way, you’ll meet the whole gang March 8, 2013. Just follow the yellow brick road to your local movie theater, but drive slowly, brick — yellow or not— isn’t great for your tires.
