Back in April, Shields told Pitchfork that My Bloody Valentine was finishing a new record (the first since Loveless, which dropped twenty-one years ago). Turns out the band actually intends to deliver on that promise: NME reports that the album will be out by the end of this year. There’s a bonus EP coming next year, too, so congrats to everyone who wrote in a vote for new MBV material yesterday. Democracy, it works.
