Considering Alice in Wonderland earned more than $1 billion worldwide in 2010, it’s shocking it’s taken this long to hear about a sequel. But the franchise machine is finally firing up, regardless of the fact that the fairytale is eyeing cultural saturation via the CW and NBC both. Linda Woolverton, who penned the last Alice as well as The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, is now writing the sequel. No word on Johnny Depp, but the guy’s not exactly known for refusing sequels.
