It’s with a happy heart we report that NBC has tapped Party Down’s Ken Marino and The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi to star in a pilot titled The Gates. Adapted from a British series, the comedy will revolve around parents navigating an elementary school drop-off gate, AKA a “twice-daily social landmine.†Marino will be paired with Kathleen Rose Perkins of Episodes; Mandvi will TV-marry Christina Kirk, who’s recently appeared on Girls and The Good Wife.
