Comedian Chris Hardwick has signed a new deal with AMC via his company Nerdist Industries to develop his YouTube show All Star Celebrity Bowling into a potential series, Deadline reports. Nerdist and AMC have also agreed for bonus footage from Talking Dead, the Walking Dead companion show that Hardwick hosts on the network to be released via the Nerdist YouTube channel. All Star Celebrity Bowling, which began last April, features Chris Hardwick and friends bowling against a team of competitors from a different show. Past guests have included Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter, Marc Maron, Todd Glass, Jimmy Pardo, the cast of Workaholics, and the casts of AMC’s Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Celebrity Bowling will start off as a special before the decision is made whether to make it a series or not. Between this new AMC development deal, the upcoming TV version of The Nerdist on BBC America, the Nerdist YouTube channel, the L.A. comedy stage NerdMelt, and the Nerdist podcast network, it’s only a matter of time before Chris Hardwick spontaneously combusts.
