Al Pacino really goes full-Pacino in Phil Spector, the David Mamet–written and directed HBO film about the famous producer’s first murder trial. A flamboyant, crazy, egomaniac: Of course Pacino would go HAM on that role. Helen Mirren plays the attorney tasked with defending Spector. And a bunch of sleeping dogs play Spector’s wigs. The film premieres on HBO on March 24, and by March 26 or 27, your ears will stop ringing from all of the Pacino-screams.
