Pacific Rim’s marketing wants to make it very clear that crazy, awesome shit happens in this movie. Sure, Idris Elba and Charlie Day are in it and that’s pretty cool, but come on — it’s monsters versus robots. The first trailer made it seem like it was one monster versus one type of robot, but as we see, it’s multiple monsters versus multiple robots. Some monsters fly: Awesome! Some robots use battleships as weapons: Awesome! The whole thing hits theaters on July 12. Did we mention there will be monsters and robots?
