FXX’s First Original Show Will Be Danny McBride’s Animated Comedy ‘Chozen’

Cable network FX announced the first original series for its new all-comedy network FXX today. Called Chozen, it’s an animated series executive produced by Archer creator Adam Reed and Eastbound & Down producers Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, and Jody Hill. The series, which follows a gay white rapper, is expected to debut early next year. Chozen was created by newcomer Grant Dekernion, who used to be Eastbound & Down’s writer’s assistant, and the regular voice cast features Dekernion, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, Michael Peña, Nick Swardson, McBride, Kathryn Hahn, and Method Man. It’s a pretty eclectic and impressive group. FXX launches this fall with It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The League, Legit, and Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell, which will now be nightly, moving to the new network.
