Starz announced today that it has ordered a sixteen-episode first season of the sexy time-travel series Outlander. The show, adapted by Battlestar Galactica’s Ron Moore, is based on the very popular series of Diana Gabaldon books about a World War II combat nurse who finds herself in 1700s Scotland — where she becomes embroiled in various conflicts, both political and romantic. Swords? Yes. Sex? Yes. Passion? Indeed! Welcome to cable, Outlander. (No casting has been announced just yet, so talk amongst yourselves.)
