While it was presumed dead after NBC didn’t pick up its pilot to series before unveiling their fall schedule, it looks like Craig Robinson’s untitled sitcom may become a reality after all. It was reported earlier that the show was actually still alive, and that is indeed the case: NBC has just extended the cast options and ordered three more scripts, making it likely to be picked up for a potential mid-season spot. The show centers on “a talented musician (Robinson) who adjusts to his new life as a middle school music teacher, where he maneuvers precocious kids, teacher politics, and the temptations of single moms.†It sounded like one of the more promising shows of pilot season, so it’s exciting that it may make it after all.
