Standup Taylor Williamson came in second on America’s Got Talent last night, losing out to martial-arts inspired dancer Kenichi Ebina. He even made the best of the producer’s requirement that the finalists repeat and improve on a past performance in the finale; as he pointed out, those jokes have lost the element of surprise for the judges. But he won them over with the help of a dancing camel and a choir, earning the overwhelming praise of comedian judges Howie Mandel and Howard Stern. This makes two years in a row where a comedian has placed second; standup Tom Cotter was the runner up in last year’s competition. See both of Williamson’s performances from the finale below:
