The buzz going around was that Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street was running too long, so much so that the studio considered pushing back its release from November 15, 2013 to sometime in 2014, a move with serious Oscar race ramifications. However, fear not, as the L.A. Times reports the film will get released before the year is through. Paramount’s current plan is for WoWS to come out on Christmas Day, likely bumping their Tom Clancy reboot, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. So watch out, 12 Years a Slave, The Wolf of Wall Street is coming for your Best Picture Oscar.
