As he is wont to do when in a new city with a few hours to kill before a Yeezus show, Kanye gave a speech yesterday — in Boston, at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. It was short and familiar in its motivational themes (design is the future, “utopia is actually possible,†etc.), but please enjoy this charming bit at the end: “Tonight, this show … um, I’m a bit self-conscious because I’m showing it to architects. So the stage does have flaws in it. It’s an expression of emotion so give me a pass on that.†Look, Kanye gets nervous, too.
