Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, the director and the writer behind The Butler, are going to continue working together. Fox has announced they will move forward with the pilot for Empire, the duo’s family drama set in the world of hip-hop. Strong wrote the pilot, which Daniels will direct. The show will feature both original and contemporary music, like a rap Nashville. Sounds good! Though, part of us would prefer to watch a reality show about Daniels and Strong’s likely interesting working relationship.
