Idris Elba has been voicing Shere Khan his entire life. Now he’s just going to get paid for it. The Luther star is in talks to play the feline villain in John Favreau’s live-action remake of The Jungle Book, though, since the movie’s special effects will be provided by Avatar and Hugo alum Rob Legato, we have to assume there will be a CGI tiger involved too.
