Ghostbusters III is hitting more roadblocks. Jeff Sneider at The Wrap is reporting that directing team Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street) have turned the project down. Last month, Nikki Finke reported that the duo was in talks for the job, and Sneider says they were the studio’s top choice and that the studio is now meeting with other directors.
Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two Ghostbusters movies, was originally set to direct the third, but he stepped down following the death of original Ghostbuster Harold Ramis. With Ghostbusters III once again without a director nearly two decades into its on-and-off-development, the project continues on.
