Washington, D.C.’s annual so-called “nerd prom” may have had a smaller celebrity turnout than in years past, but there were still some standout fashion moments to be had. Lupita Nyong’o won the day in polka-dot Oscar de la Renta, while Freida Pinto opted for an icy-pink gown. Olivia Munn, Kristen Bell, and Sofía Vergara rounded out the Hollywood contingent, while Linda Evangelista made a dramatic statement worthy of a supermodel in her red fur.
Stars of D.C.-themed shows made their presence known on tonight’s red carpet. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, a far cry from Selina Meyer in a flowing black column, was joined by her Veep co-star Anna Chlumsky. Scandal’s Darby Stanchfield, Bellamy Young, and Katie Lowes made appearances as well, though new-mom Kerry Washington was absent. (House of Cards’ Robin Wright attended a daytime event yesterday, wearing Altuzarra.)
