The 37th annual Kennedy Center Honors aired Tuesday night and, as usual, the event was chock-full of performances. A slew of celebrities — including Stephen Colbert, Meryl Streep, Usher, Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Jane Fonda, Steven Spielberg, Kate McKinnon, and Martin Short — gathered to help pay homage to Al Green, Tom Hanks, ballerina Patricia McBride, Sting, and Lily Tomlin. Gaga and Mars both covered Sting songs, the former with a rockin’, at times near-operatic rendition of “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You,†and the latter with a lively Police-inspired medley (both below).
