Larry Wilmore Has a Message for Bill Cosby’s Defenders: ‘That Motherf*cker Did It’

On just his second night on the air, Larry Wilmore came out swinging with an eight-minute segment devoted to the sexual-abuse charges against Bill Cosby, who is currently performing live on his “Far From Finished� Tour. (“If your client is being accused of brutal assaults on a weekly basis,� Wilmore noted, “maybe don’t say he’s far from finished.�) But most concerning to the new host is Cosby’s legions of defenders in the media, who are standing by the comedian despite the dozens of alleged victims accusing him of sexual assault. “Why aren’t more people believing these women?� Wilmore asked. “Is it just because they’re women?� After all,  he explained, “the current tally is 35 women — that’s like if Bill Cosby drugged and raped every U.S. president from George Washington to John F. Kennedy.�
