In an interview with Collider, Brad Bird, the brilliant filmmaker responsible for The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol, and the upcoming sci-fi extravaganza Tomorrowland, said that The Incredibles 2 will be his next project. We reported this past fall that Bird was “developing†the sequel to his 2004 hit, but this is the first real confirmation that Bird will begin working on the film after Tomorrowland comes out. He says he has written “a bunch of pages†for the film, and emphasized that he’s focusing on “getting Tomorrowland out into the world and playing with The Incredibles sandbox again.†Hopefully Frozone can find his super suit.
