Okay, maybe nix the fedora orders. E! reports Adam Levine and Maroon 5 are now the front-runners to headline Super Bowl 50’s halftime show. The site’s sources confirmed that Bruno Mars and Coldplay were also mentioned as options, but that Levine and Co. have had “extensive talks†about the grand gig. The news has yet to be fully verified because Voice coach Levine is busy doing fun trash-talking tweets with Blake Shelton and the NFL is more worried about Bills fans. (It’s also unclear if this would still allow Mars to potentially curate part of the show, but if Maroon 5 steals the job entirely, maybe someone else can sugar-bomb them — what’s right is right.) Katy Perry, last year’s choice, officially confirmed her appearance around Thanksgiving, so expect some clarity soon. Super Bowl 50 airs on CBS on February 7.
