It took a little longer than expected for Universal’s truck full of crisp $10 bills to make it to Elizabeth Banks’s house, but now, after fiddling with Waze for a bit, the driver finally found it — which means that, as Variety reports, Banks will indeed direct Pitch Perfect 3. Stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson and writer Kay Cannon are all already onboard for the sequel, which is set for a 2017 release date. PP3 is the third film on Banks’s increasingly full directing plate, after the Charlie’s Angels reboot and the YA adaptation Red Queen, because studios really want to beat their chests for B-A-N-K-S.
