Samantha Bee and Jason Jones aren’t the only Daily Show alums with their own in-the-works shows at TBS. According to Variety, TBS has given a 10-episode series order to a single-cam ensemble comedy produced by Conan O’Brien’s Conaco, and Wyatt Cenac is onboard to star. Called People of Earth, the show centers on a support group for people who claim they’ve been abducted by aliens, with Cenac playing “a journalist who is skeptical of the alien-abduction claims at first but comes to suspect that he’s had his own close encounter.†The project was ordered to pilot back in July, and Oscar Nunez, Ana Gasteyer, Michael Cassidy, Nancy Lenehan, Luka Jones, Alice Wetterlund, Brian Huskey, Tracee Chimo, Bjorn Gustafson, and Ken Hall round out the cast. Conan O’Brien will serve as a co-executive producer on the series alongside Greg Daniels.
