Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is (unironically) moving back to his showbiz roots, as the trades report he has been tapped to star in a prospective broadcast series titled I’m Not Your Friend. CBS picked up the comedy’s pilot Monday with early promises of a 13-episode commitment. The dramatic-sounding multi-cam — actually about “a contractor [LeBlanc] who learns that raising his kids is more challenging than expected when his wife goes back to work†— comes from That ’70s Show alums and might include the legendary James Burrows at the helm. If INYF does in fact lead to a full series pick-up, it’ll be LeBlanc’s first broadcast vehicle in more than a decade. The update comes amid the recent Top Gear news, as well as crescendoing rumblings that Episodes’s run is coming to a close. Other details about the pilot are under wraps, but hopefully the belated network switch indicates the veteran actor is finally ready to be more responsible when it comes to taking care of broadcast’s babies.
