On Friday it was announced that Cary Fukunaga was directing a dark comedy series starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, and now the project has already found a home. According to Deadline, Netflix has given a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for Maniac, a half-hour comedy based on the 2014 Norwegian series of the same name. Hill will star as “a guy who lives a fantasy life in his dreams but in reality is locked up at an institution,†and Stone will play another patient. Fukunaga will reportedly direct all 10 episodes.
