Music producer and reality TV star David Gest has died at 62 of unknown causes. He was found by police at the Four Seasons Hotel in London. In addition to his brief marriage to Liza Minnelli in 2002, Gest famously produced 2001’s Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration: The Solo Years, the highest-rated TV musical special in history. Gest was most recently in the news when, during the filming of Celebrity Big Brother, fellow contestant Tiffany “New York†Pollard mistakenly believed the “David†who had died was Gest, rather than the late David Bowie, ex-husband of contestant Angie Bowie. Subsequently, Gest’s tongue-in-check musical show David Gest Is Not Dead, But Alive With Soul tour was scheduled to begin this summer.
