Showtime just added another comedy to its development slate by Moshe Kasher (Another Period) and Zach Cregger (The Whitest Kids U’Know). According to Deadline, the network has put into development an untitled half-hour comedy written and produced by Kasher and Cregger that follows “a larcenous family of pot dealers whose world is turned upside down when their illegal enterprise suddenly becomes legal in their home state. As the family struggles to adapt to the strange new world of legitimate business, they are forced to depend upon the business acumen of their son, whose straight and narrow leanings have always made him a ‘black sheep’ in this clan of reprobates.†Joe and Anthony Russo (Arrested Development, Captain America: Civil War) will direct and co-executive produce. The project joins a long list of pot comedies recently put into development from Chuck Lorre, Margaret Cho, Adam Scott, and Joe Mande.
