Like USA before it, Amazon has realized that people like to watch Matt Bomer wear nice suits. The site has picked up Bomer’s The Last Tycoon, which was based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, to series. The Last Tycoon centers on the rise of 1930s studio exec Monroe Stahr (Bomer), and also stars Kelsey Grammer, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Lily Collins. Amazon’s other drama pilot, The Interestings, is not getting a pickup, according to Deadline … perhaps that show didn’t live up to its title.
