Ana Lucia Fabrega can match Fred Armisen’s infectiously low, deadpan energy. Very few people can do that and not seem like they’re trying really hard to be Fred Armisen. In a relentless premise that’s so perfectly tailored for Armisen’s special brand of banality, Fabrega not only proves she can hang, but she also shows us she can innovate in an intentionally ripple-less, slow-burn comedic space that proves so elusive for so many. Also, Fabrega’s near break at 5:03 is pretty great.
