So, get ready for Bad Boys for Life, which has just been slated for release on January 12, 2018, according to Entertainment Weekly. Joe Carnahan (The Grey, The A-Team) will take over directing duties from Michael Bay, but Smith and Lawrence will blessedly be reprising their roles as Miami’s most exciting and wise-cracking law-enforcement duo. The plot of Bad Boys for Life is yet to be disclosed, but that hasn’t stopped Sony Pictures from setting up a July 3, 2019 release for Bad Boys 4, which will come 24 years and three months after the franchise debuted in 1995.
