Saturday and Sunday nights marked the 67th annual Creative Arts Emmys, which recognize technical achievements in television, such as cinematography, costuming, makeup, and guest-acting. Making a Murderer won the first award of Sunday night for best documentary series, with three additional wins to dominate the nonfiction-series category, and RuPaul won his first Emmy in the reality-host category. But perhaps the most surprising win of the night is the Late Late Show With James Corden’s prime-time special Carpool Karaoke beating Beyoncé’s Lemonade for variety special. According to Deadline, Corden also managed to top Adele and Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo. Late Late Show With James Corden is now a two-time Emmy winner, and Carpool Karaoke will soon be coming to Apple Music.
