As he tours the festival circuit with his touted Manchester by the Sea, Casey Affleck is making a play to become the Ben Affleck of the independent-film world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the younger Affleck just signed on for his next project, a survival-based drama called Light of My Life that he will star in and direct from a script of his own. Plot details are thin right now, but Light sounds like it will be an intimate affair that focuses on a father and daughter who are lost in the woods.
