Last year, Broken Lizard launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund a sequel to their cult hit Super Troopers. They asked for $2 million, but ended up walking away with $4.4 million, the second-biggest crowdfunding take ever, and nearly four times the budget of the original. Today, the dream of seeing highway patrolmen engage in ever more ethically dubious behavior got one step closer to reality, as Deadline reports that Super Troopers 2 has started filming outside of Boston. Original stars Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske are all back in the saddle once more, and Jay Chandrasekhar is reprising his role as director.
