It didn’t seem possible, but James Corden has somehow made Carpool Karaoke even more of a crowd-pleaser. Christmas ambassador Mariah Carey joined Corden for a holiday edition of the late-night segment, making one perfectly spontaneous gift request: “I want you to sing my song ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’†Aw, Mimi, giving the full title as if it hasn’t already been coursing through our veins since that one Black Friday visit to Target. While Corden was of course happy to oblige, he and Carey were far from the only celebrities to sing the Christmas ditty, with ghosts from Carpool Karaoke past giving their take on the classic. So, let’s all be grateful for Carpool Karaoke’s broken fourth wall this year, as the likes of Adele, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Elton John, and Demi Lovato each look straight into the camera and declare that all they want for Christmas is YOU, yes, you.
