It’s no secret that the Billboard charts’ favorite EDM duo the Chainsmokers are fans of Coldplay — they called front man Chris Martin the “fucking coolest, dude.†And apparently the Chainsmokers wanted to collaborate with Martin so badly that they even broke their nightlife regimen to record late-night with Martin (he had to put the kids to bed first), spending $300 on an Uber to be there with him instead of at the club. Dedication! What that studio session hath wrought is “Something Just Like This,†which sounds just like their other song “Paris,†if Drew Taggart fronted Coldplay. Or does he?
