Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki has a new show headed to CBS. Variety reports that the network has given a series order to a multi-cam series produced by Galecki and written by Patrick Walsh (It’s Always Sunny, 2 Broke Girls) called By the Book, which is based on the bestselling 2009 book The Year of Living Biblically. The show has been in development at the network since late 2015 and centers on “a modern-day man who, at a crossroads in his life, decides to live according to the Bible.” Jay R. Ferguson, Lindsey Kraft, Ian Gomez, David Krumholtz, Tony Rock, and Camryn Manheim have all signed on to star in the show. CBS also ordered two other comedies today: 9JKL starring Mark Feuerstein and Me, Myself & I starring SNL’s Bobby Moynihan.
