A year ago, HBO confirmed that season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm was finally in the works, and since then we’ve gotten a couple updates including a projected 2017 premiere and the first day of filming confirmed by JB Smoove back in November. Over the weekend, Smoove provided another update on the show, telling the audience at the Roots Picnic music festival in Philadelphia that the new batch of episodes will premiere on HBO Sunday, October 1st. The season 8 finale aired on HBO back in September 2011, so if Smoove’s announcement is accurate, Curb Your Enthusiasm will make its highly anticipated return after a little over six years off the air. HBO has not yet confirmed Smoove’s announcement, so for now, you’ll have to keep your fingers crossed.
