Netflix just added another standup special to its upcoming premiere slate. According to Deadline, the streaming network has added an hourlong standup special titled Immigrant from Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani, which will premiere Tuesday, August 1st. Filmed at the Kennedy Center in DC, the special will feature Jobrani as he covers “political humor about being an immigrant in the era of Trump, as well as observations about modern day parenting.” Jobrani also co-stars in the CBS comedy Superior Donuts, which returns for its second season in the fall. Immigrant will mark Jobrani’s Netflix standup debut.
