Watch All of the Trailers Released at San Diego Comic-Con

Christmas comes in July for the pop-culture geeks of the world, and this year’s Comic-Con did not disappoint, with a slew of new trailers. Think ’90s-cartoon reboots, superheroes with weaponized hair, and horror mayhem. Below are all the major trailers that premiered at Comic-Con, including American Horror Story: Cult, Marvel’s The Defenders, and Stranger Things.

Bright

Will Smith and Joel Edgerton star in this new buddy-cop film about an LAPD officer and an orc (yes, an orc), fending off human and otherworldly bad guys alike. You can watch them do their thing — clubbing fairies and all — on Netflix on December 22.

Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling

Nineties kids, rejoice: The new trailer for Nickelodeon’s Rocko’s Modern Life TV-movie reboot doesn’t shy away from addressing the fact that 20 years of culture and technology have passed since the titular wallaby last graced television. It skewers the 21st-century obsession with new iPhones and hazardous energy drinks, as Rocko concludes, “This century is a very dangerous century.†Rocko 2020?

Inhumans

The trailer for Marvel’s newest rollout shows the Inhuman Royal Family as they flee a coup against their king Black Bolt (led by his brother Maximus) and find refuge in Hawaii. Watch Medusa strangle Maximus in another example of female badasses taking over the superhero genre. The first two episodes of Inhumans will be released in IMAX theaters on September 1, before premiering on ABC on September 29.

American Horror Story: Cult

The hotly anticipated new season of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology is supposedly inspired by the 2016 election. A lone blue clown among a horde of red ones … is that a metaphor? The trailer is cryptic, but promises lots of culty clown fun. American Horror Story returns to FX September 5.

Jigsaw

The Saw franchise returns from the dead with the new trailer for Jigsaw, which features a lot of screaming and ominous quotes, like “Help†and “That’s not creepy at all.†Spend your Halloween with the infamous serial killer, who comes to haunt theaters October 27.

The Walking Dead

Things get violent in the new trailer for The Walking Dead’s latest season. Watch through the carnage to catch a cut to the future, featuring a much-older Rick with a big ol’ beard. Why? Only time will tell. The Walking Dead returns October 22.

Pacific Rim: Uprising

In another edition of “Here Comes the Sequel,†2013’s robot action flick gets the treatment with Pacific Rim: Uprising. The trailer (or … advertisement?) invites you to “join the Jaeger uprising.†If you so decide, it’s in theaters next February 23.

Game of Thrones

The latest Game of Thrones season-seven trailer welcomes back Melisandre who, through her powerful magical insight, knows Daenerys has an important role to play — “as does another.†If you’re a fan, you might have foretold the exact same thing.

The Gifted

The new trailer for Fox’s upcoming drama introduces the Gifted universe’s mutants, identifying their monikers and extraordinary abilities — that is, except for the show’s lead siblings Lauren and Andy Strucker, who are so new to the mutant game, they don’t even have cool nicknames yet. The show premieres on October 2.

Marvel’s The Defenders

On Friday, Comic-Con attendees got to see the series premiere of Marvel’s The Defenders, which you’ll be able to watch August 18 on Netflix. Between Sigourney Weaver’s city-destroying villainy; the sardonic camaraderie of Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and Iron Fist; and the dubious role of Daredevil’s Elektra, your mouth must be watering. Oh, that’s actually a mouthful of blood from all the nonstop brawling? Cool, cool. Even better.

Preacher

What show wouldn’t be improved by a deadpan German assassin with an immaculate white suit and nipple chain? The new Preacher trailer focuses heavily on Herr Starr, one of the comic-book series’s main villains. Don’t take our word for it, though. Like all the best things in life, you’ll need to see it to believe it.

Vikings

As you might recall, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has joined the fifth season of History Channel’s Vikings, though you could be forgiven for missing him, what with all the decapitated heads rolling through the show’s new trailer. Okay, it’s only the one head, but one is plenty to establish that the show’s upcoming familial war will be anything but civil. The show returns on November 29.

The Lego Ninjago Movie

Six teens! One ninja master! Will they be able to defeat an evil warlord … while balancing their homework? Find out on September 22.

Ready Player One

Ready Player One welcomes director Steven Spielberg back to the sci-fi genre after over a decade away. Based on the Ernest Cline novel, the movie casts Tye Sheridan as a virtual-reality player who’s intent on finding a hidden fortune left by game guru Mark Rylance. Ben Mendelsohn, Lena Waithe, and T. J. Miller co-star in the movie, which will be out next March. Will Spielberg find the virtual-reality setting to be as high-stakes and murderous as Jessica Fletcher once did? Stay tuned!

Riverdale

“Who shot Fred Andrews?†is the new and improved teen version of “Who shot J.R.?†But we only have an answer to one of those questions, with Riverdale getting into an increasingly dark place with the impending arrival of its second season. It will premiere on October 11.

Justice League

Now with more Wonder Woman.

Stranger Things

If you really thought Stranger Things was never going to use “Thriller†as a music cue, you haven’t been paying attention.

Star Trek: Discovery

Sorry! This video no longer exists.

If you thought the reboot series was in trouble after Bryan Fuller’s abrupt departure, this very good trailer might just change your mind.

Westworld

Back in the saddle!

Thor: Ragnarok

The new trailer for the upcoming Thor threequel gives us our best look at Cate Blanchett’s villain Hela, who is serving up some serious fantasy lewks.

The Orville

Seth MacFarlane begs the question: What if you had a Star Trek–inspired sci-fi series, but also made it a workplace comedy?

Arrow

A hero’s duty never ends. Not even in season five.

Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017

Another bittersweet holiday gift from everybody’s favorite Time Lord: This year’s Christmas special, “Twice Upon a Time,†will be the last episode for Pearl Mackie’s Bill Potts and the twelfth doctor, Peter Capaldi.

My Friend Dahmer

Before serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer became infamous, he was a troubled teenager living in Ohio. Adapted from Derf Backderf’s acclaimed graphic memoir, Dahmer’s life as a social outcast in high school, and his disturbing behavior in the classroom and at home, are an eerie foreshadowing of what was to come, and could have possibly been prevented. Ross Lynch stars as Dahmer.

The Last Ship

TNT’s postapocalyptic seafaring drama is returning for a fourth season next month, and humanity’s survival is dependent on some special seeds.
