The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon have a new project in the works at Apple. According to Deadline, Apple has put into development a half-hour anthology series called Little America. Written by Lee Eisenberg (The Office, SMILF), the series is described as “a small, collective portrait of America’s immigrants — and thereby a portrait of America itself†and is based on the feature of the same name from Epic Magazine. Nanjiani and Gordon are executive producing the project alongside Eisenberg and Master of None co-creator Alan Yang. Apple also has a comedy in the works starring Kristen Wiig, which it ordered to series last month. Gordon, meanwhile, also recently signed on to write a Jill Soloway-produced movie for Amazon called The Nest.
