The Hills are alive with the sound of a very profitable revival, with the reality show’s original stars Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port returning to New Beginnings alongside fellow redemption-seeking icon Mischa Barton. We don’t need to remind you that the show’s core of SoCal women have historically fit into a similar blonde, sun-kissed mold, but in a new video interview with Vogue, Montag is insisting diversity shouldn’t be an issue with viewers. “We don’t all look the same. I mean, Audrina has darker hair. I feel like Mischa has darker hair,†she explained, when asked if she wished for a more diverse Hills. “But yeah, we’re California girls and it’s a group of friends, and that just happens to be the group that came together. But you know, that’s just the way the show was. I have other, very diverse friends that are not featured on the show.†Don’t forget the eyes, too. Some are blue! Some are brown!
