Jane Campion and Elisabeth Moss are coming together again. For her first project since Top of the Lake: China Girl, Campion will write and direct a feature adaptation of the Thomas Savage novel The Power of the Dog, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Set in Montana, the plot follows a rancher (Benedict Cumberbatch) who is scheming to ruin his brother’s life and wreck his new marriage. The brothers are also business partners, so it seems like there’s some jealousy there! Moss is in the midst of another Mossian year of varied high-quality projects, having appeared recently in Us and Her Smell with The Handmaid’s Tale and The Kitchen still on the way in 2019.
