On-Set Stabbing Briefly Shuts Down Anne Hathaway’s New Movie

A violent incident has brought a production halt to Anne Hathaway’s newest film, The Witches. Per reporting from the Hertfordshire Mercury, a crew member for the film, which is an adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel, was rushed to the hospital after being severely stabbed by another man. “One man sustained a neck injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance,†a spokesperson for the county’s constabulary told the newspaper. “A second man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and is currently in police custody.†Both men are “believed†to have known each other, the spokesperson added, with the stabbing being classified as an “isolated workplace incident.†The Warner Bros. production facility, located in suburban London, has hosted numerous other actors for The Witches, which include Chris Rock, Stanley Tucci, and Octavia Spencer. An investigation has been opened to establish the circumstances around the stabbing.
