If you ask Charlie Barnett whether his character in the Netflix hit Russian Doll ever broke out of the time loop, he’ll refer you to the operetta Candide. “They’ve kind of released themselves from their own prison, but they’re still stuck,” he told Vulture, noting that the greatest loop of all may actually be the show’s other main character: New York City.
