What starts as a sweet end-of-high-school tale starring lovebirds Hailee Steinfeld and Justice Smith spirals out of control as we find out the fate of our seniors in the futuristic hellscape that awaits them after high school. Letâs just say Hailee has bigger fish to fry than kissing at a roller rink or winning an Oscar when the Robotic War demands a hero. Actually, maybe thatâs what happened to Bertram, too? The Sandlot never specifically says he didnât die in the Robotic War, did it?
